The International Choral festival "Moscow Sounds" (MICYCF) is held every two years at the end of April, beginning of May. The festival is an important event in Moscow. It has won the recognition not only in Russia but abroad. Sponsors of the festival are Russian Ministry of Culture and Russian Ministry of Education, Moscow Department of Education.
Since 1990, the festival has attracted musicians from all over the world - USA, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Poland, Bulgaria, China, Hong Kong, Bahamas Islands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Thailand, Serbia, so as a great number of choruses from Russian towns.
"Moscow Sounds" invites children's and youth choirs, vocal and folk ensembles to participate the XI Festival and hopes that the festival will turn into a wonderful Music, Peace and Friendship celebration once again.
The goals of the festival:
- To build bridges of understanding and cooperation between the young people of different countries though the musical art.
- To develop artistic contacts and friendship between young people.
- To promote Russian national choral traditions and to get acquainted with choral art of other cultures.
- To exchange and enrich choral repertoire of children's and youth choruses.

FESTIVAL FORMAT
- Opening and closing ceremonies in the form of gala-concerts generally take place in the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Grand Hall of Moscow State Conservatory or Moscow Palace of Music.
- Solo and joint concerts are held in concert hall of the Russian Academy of Music named after the Gnesins, the House of Composers, the Russian State Library, the Rachmaninoff Hall of Moscow State Conservatory, the Tchaikovsky house-museum in Klin, museums and cathedrals.
- Contest within the bounds of MICYCF-20l0 (optional):
- The International competition of Children's and Youth Choirs and Vocal Ensembles (ICCYC-2010)
- The International Competition of Children's and Youth Choirs and Ensembles for the Best Performance of Russian and Foreign Spiritual Music (ICSM-2010)
- The International Competition of Children's and Youth Folk Ensembles (ICYFE-2010)
- The International Conductors Competition.
Members of the jury are well-known Russian and foreign musicians, composers and famous choir conductors.
